Financial Support Announcement
During this time, however temporary it may be, we want to do all we can to bring glory to God and be his hands to those around us.
Hard times bring to mind really important questions, like:
- Are the Lord’s people being generous?
- Do we take care of your own?
- Do we care for those around us?
This is true religion according to James:
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
James 1:27
Some of you are able to personally help your neighbors and family and I believe that Christ-followers should be the first line of helping to care for those in need.
The Roman emperor Julian, writing in the fourth century, regretted the progress of Christianity because it pulled people away from the Roman gods. He said this about the Christian faith:
“It has been specially advanced through the loving service rendered to strangers, and through their care for the burial of the dead. It Is a scandal that there is not a single Jew who is a beggar, and that the godless Galileans care not only for their own poor but for ours as well, while those who belong to us look in vain for the help that we should render them.“
Because of the times, we were in now and because of what might come in our near future we would like to offer financial assistance to any regular attendee of PGCC. We are able to serve you and our community in this way because of so many people honoring God through their faithful and generous giving.
We have set aside money for each family who regularly attends PGCC. We offer this help for two purposes.

One, if you have financial or physical needs, we as your brothers and sisters are here to help! If you have a real Need we will help, no questions asked.

Two, if you have a friend or neighbor who is financially struggling; you can be the representative of Christ and our church to them.
We remind you only that this is not like the economic stimulus package that will be coming from President Trump. This is to help you get through some of your immediate, urgent needs, and even better, for you as a representative of Jesus Christ and the church, to take this offer and use it to help someone else that you are not able to help personally.
In this way, you can represent Pine Grove Community Church to them, enabling the church to fulfill our call to our community and our people through you. Please help us, and share Christ in this very personal and practical way.
I know some of you will not be comfortable asking for help for yourself, but please allow us to help if it is needed. If you need help or would like help, helping someone else. Please contact me. I am available through text, email, or telephone.
